High Definition Strategy
As in-house marketing lead at Resolution IT, I played a central role in the company’s evolution across multiple brand and marketing initiatives over several years. During this time, the business was experiencing rapid growth and was transitioning from a small-business-focused IT provider to a more ambitious player targeting larger clients in the local financial services sector. The directors were keen to shift external perception of a “small homegrown business” to showcasing the size and strength of the firm to better reflect its growing capabilities and client base. Working alongside leadership and external partners, I helped shape how the company presented itself both internally and externally as it entered this new chapter.
To mark the firm’s 15-year anniversary, I led a comprehensive brand refresh, overseeing the appointment of both creative and web agencies. While the original logo remained, the wider visual identity was updated to reflect the company’s maturity and direction. We expanded the colour palette beyond the duotone green & black, developed internal and external campaigns and refreshed all brand assets. This included a full website rebuild, redesigned vehicle liveries, new signage and updated internal materials. Working closely with the directors as the brief changed, we retained clarity of purpose while adapting with care. To coincide with the launch of new internal values, I also commissioned a series of bespoke office murals and created supporting collateral for the team.
The new website was built with growth and user experience in mind, the new site makes it easy for potential clients to understand their services and get the information they need. With a focus on modern design and seamless functionality, the website reinforced Resolution IT’s position as a forward-thinking firm that brings transparency and commitment to IT support.
One of the earliest projects I initiated was Modern Bytes, a client-facing seminar series that transformed unused office space into a classroom. Designed to engage clients and prospects on practical applications of Microsoft 365, the sessions positioned Resolution IT as a helpful, human brand in a sector often seen as technical and remote. I created the concept, partnered with a third-party designer to develop the brand, planned and scripted each session and hosted several events myself. The result was a run of packed-out seminars and a wave of new enquiries for Microsoft Teams training. (Brand design, pictured, by CircleVert Design Studio)
Other campaigns included local media creative such as “This is IT” and “How IT should be”, helping reposition the company with a clearer, bolder personality.
Finally, I led the creation of “Life at Resolution IT”, a multi-channel recruitment campaign that paired film and print to tell the story of the company’s culture and opportunities. Working with two creative partners, we produced a hero video for careers and social use, supported by targeted advertising and a suite of online content that showcased younger voices in the business.
Together, these projects formed a significant body of internal marketing work that laid the foundations for future growth while aligning the brand with the business it had become.
