Redwood Group

Branching out

Over a two-year period, I oversaw a series of brand and marketing initiatives at Redwood Group as part of my broader remit as Head of Operations. As the business set its sights on growth beyond its homebase of the Channel Islands, there was a clear need to mature internal systems and formalise the brand in preparation for expansion into new jurisdictions. I introduced both marketing and operational structures to support this trajectory—laying the foundations for a more scalable, consistent business.

I restructured the brand by establishing a defined system of fonts, colours, tone of voice and usage guidelines. I also updated every brand touchpoint across the company, from internal communications and client materials to external presentations and stationery.

One of the key milestones during this time was a complete website redesign and rewrite. I managed three separate parties across design, development and content, delivering the project in just six weeks: on budget and ahead of schedule. The result was a cleaner, more confident online presence that better reflected the company’s direction and ambition.

For the Guernsey Funds Forum in London, a competitive and often traditional industry event, I introduced a creative concept to help the company stand out: a Mario Kart competition. Attendees were invited to race on the “London Loop” circuit for a chance to set the fastest lap. The activation proved to be one of the most talked-about elements of the event, drawing continuous attention to the stand and resulting in over 20 qualified contacts for the team to follow-up with.

I also created and launched the RedGood Community Grant, a quarterly grant programme supporting charitable and not-for-profit organisations across the Channel Islands. With no marketing budget allocated the grant attracted more than 10 applications from a diverse range of causes in its first quarter, laying the foundation for a long-term community initiative aligned with the company’s values.

These projects played a key role in helping Redwood Group sharpen its identity, strengthen community engagement and shift external perceptions as it prepared for cross-jurisdictional growth.
